Platja de Migjorn is a beach in Formentera. Sheltered from N, NE, E, W and NW winds; exposed to SE and S winds.
The Es Ca Marí stretch, at the western end of the long Migjorn beach on the south coast: sand with rocky patches, dunes with pines and junipers behind, and crystal-clear water over a sandy seabed that runs well out to sea, easy for swimming. In summer it is usually sheltered from the prevailing winds, though posidonia piles up on the shore in places. Several restaurants and beach bars line the front and are good spots for the sunset.
Arena suggests 20 spots to anchor on sand, clear of Posidonia; the closest to the meadow is 20 m away.
Approximate depth: 1.5–7.8 m (EMODnet bathymetry).
Anchoring on Posidonia is forbidden: the app shows the meadow on the map and warns you if the anchor would land on it.
