Platja des Niu Blau is a beach in Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza. Sheltered from N, NE, E, SW, W and NW winds; exposed to SE and S winds.
A beach about 140 m long, also known as s'Estanyol, with pine woods reaching almost to the sand and the mouth of the Arabí stream at one end, which brings down pebbles. The fine sand shelves very gently and the seabed mixes sand, gravel and posidonia meadows. Quiet, with restaurants by the shore; a coastal path links it to Cala Pada.
Arena suggests 16 spots to anchor on sand, clear of Posidonia; the closest to the meadow is 20 m away.
Approximate depth: 0.7–7.7 m (EMODnet bathymetry).
Anchoring on Posidonia is forbidden: the app shows the meadow on the map and warns you if the anchor would land on it.
