S'Arenal Gros is the largest of the Portinatx beaches (about 150 m): fine white sand shelving very gently, so that 25 m out the water is only about a metre deep. The seabed is sandy except on the left-hand side, which is rocky, and the wind usually blows lightly from the south. Lined with hotels and offering every service, it is the easiest beach for families, linked by a promenade to s'Arenal Petit.
